It's cold! 35 degrees (1.6666667 degrees Celsius)
No, that isn't really cold when you live in this part of the country. But when you had almost 60 degree weather just this past weekend it does seem cold. However, one of the joys of experiencing this temperature change is that you get to anticipate Christmas.
The older I become the more I look forward to Christmas. Not for me, but for those who are young. I take pleasure seeing the excitement in their eyes and their anticipation of that big day. From the one year old to every teen or older who is still a child at heart.
I spend many hours each Christmas putting up outside decorations. Each year, as I do it I wonder, “Why do I do this?” Then I see the eyes and the eager anticipation of those who see the lights and the decorations and I know why. I smile and feel the warmth and excitement of the holiday myself through their eyes.
